JV Football Team Defeats Dartmouth

The JV football team came from behind yesterday to defeat Dartmouth 10-7. The Sooners mounred a second hall rally to take the game from the Big Green and keep their record perfect for the season at 2-0.

Dartmouth scored in the second quarter on a pass interception. The ball was picked off on the Dartmouth 40-yard line and run back all the way for a touch-down.

The Crimson evened it in the third quarter on a 50-yard pass play to halfback Nick Leone from QB Doug Gordon.

The winning points came early in the fourth quarter on a field goal from about 30 yards out. The Sooners recovered a Dartmouth fumble on the 45 and a couple of plays later. Gary Bond kicked the ball through the uprights for the winning margin.

Dartmouth threatened with five minutes to play on a fumble recovery on the Harvard 30. They carried the ball to the 15, but the defense unscored on this season held.
