Eliot House Washers Robbed; No Trace of Criminals Found

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Robberts broke into all of the washing machines at Eliot House sometime after 1 a.m. yesterday morning and stole an undetermined amount of money.

Neither the University Police nor Cambridge Police have any information leading to the identities of the intruders.

"They did a very neat job," said John McCambridge '74, a member of the Eliot House Committee. A University employee at Eliot said yesterday. "It appeared that they had loosened the light bulbs to turn the lights off. They used flashlights so that nobody could see them."

"Eliot House supposedly has the lowest crime rate around," McCambridge said. "We will probably have to lock the (laundry room) door at night now."
