Varney Named All-American

Harvard catcher and co-captain Pete Varney has been selected for the NGAA All-American first team. Of the ten men named, Varney is the only Easterner.

Varney, who has been drafted by the pros six times. was the first man drafted last week. The Chicago White Sox picked him. "He'll be catching in the big leagues," Harvard coach Loyal Park said. "Mark my words."
