The Harvard golf team travels to the Paconic Golf Club in Williamstown today to play a triangular match with Williams and Boston College.
"Williams will be tough, but we should get by B.C. easily," captain Fred Sherman said yesterday.
Harvard has already faced B.C. once this season-in the Greater Boston tournament. In that 36-hole meet, the Crimson finished 26 strokes in front of B.C.
B.C. has a 4-6 record so far this season, and coach Eddie Carroll doesn't seem to be enthused about his team's chances today. "We're a little off from last year. After the Greater Boston performance, it looks pretty dim. But we're going to show up," he said.
Williams
Williams should provide the Crimson golfers with a little sterner competition. The Ephmen have compiled an 8-2 record-with losses to Yale, which beat Harvard, and UMass.
Williams has a young squad with only one senior, captain Paul Lieberman, in the line-up. The team is paced by two freshmen, Art Burke and Tom Sutter.
