In other first-round ECAC hockey tournament action, Ivy League champion Cornell defeated Providence, 6-2: Clarkson dumped Pennsylvania, 5-2: and Boston University crushed R.P.I., 11-0.

The tournament goes into the semifinal round this Friday night with B.U. clashing in a rematch with Harvard. Clarkson, which handed Cornell one of its three losses of the season, will be pitted against the Big Red in the other game.
All semi-final round games will be played at Boston Garden Friday and Saturday nights.
