Radcliffe's swimming team finished second to Springfield Saturday in the Women's New England Intercollegiate Championship held at Connecticut College.

Led by Roann Costin, who won the 100 freestyle and finished second in the 200 free, Radcliffe placed six points behind Springfield and ahead of nine other teams in the competition. Radcliffe also received points from Connie Cervilla, who finished second in the 50 and 100 fly, and Julie Anderson, who placed fourth in the 50 breaststroke and fifth in the 200 breaststroke.

In the relays, Radcliffe took a second in the 200 freestyle and a third in the medley relay.

In two weeks the team will travel to New Haven for the Eastern Intercollegiate meet.
