Carnival Circuit Will Begin Today

The Harvard ski team travels to Hanover. N. H. today for the animal Dartmouth Winter Garnival.

Middlebury is expected to challenge defending champion Dartmouth for the Carnival Cup, with Harvard and six other teams battling for a high finish in the two-day event.

The Carnival, first on the winter circuit, begins at 9 a. m. this morning with a two-run slalom at the Dartmouth Skiway the 15-kilometer cross country race is set for 2 p. m.

The Giant Slalom and jumping events conclude the competition on Saturday.

Harvard's chief hopes are in the Alpine events, but coach Bill McCollom has emphasized that individual performances throughout the season are as important as the team titles of the Carnival circuit.
