A few days after the appearance of my advertisement suggesting that the faculty make public a statement expressing disapproval of Dr. Herrnstein and his I.Q. article, Dr. Herrnstein told me that my statement, in the advertisement to the effect that he made no mention of twin studies dissonant to his view, was untrue.
On re-reading the article I now suppose that he lumped together all of the twin studies. If I made a mis-statement in this respect it was caused by Dr. Herrnstein's failure to mention those I.Q. scores of those twins that differed by 19 and 24 points. George Purvin
