Stephen S. J. Hall, vice president for Administration, yesterday announced the appointment of Morten H. Engstrom '73, to advise him on ecological issues confronting the university.

Engstrom worked for the Audubon Society in Portland, Maine, writing for its newsletter and studying problems of stream pollution by paper mills.

Engstrom said yesterday, "I will recommend the extension of the Adams House paper recycling drive to the whole University and that the University buy only recycled paper."

Engstrom's future work may also include the study of trash, garbage and sewage disposal, and power generation and its use.

Another of Engstrom's goals is the creation of more ecology courses.
