Crimson Hosts Visiting Daily

Crimson offensive backfield coach M Deacon Dake refused to announce last night which quarterback Cambridge's only breakfast table daily would go with this morning against the Daily Prince.

The University daily is carrying a 98 year unblemished record into today's contest. "When you've got a tradition like this hanging over your head, you've got to be an itsy-bitsy more cautious," coach Dake said in an exclusive interview last night. "But the boys are higher than a Georgia pine," Dake added.

The Crimson relied on a simple sweep-left, sweep-right offensive last fall under the direction of Bruisin' Ben Beach. This fall, Dake has installed a multiple pro-set type offensive with various shifts, intricate man-in-motion plays, in and out sets on the line, over countering and under countering of the receivers, and hidden ball tricks. "We catch them with their Mississippis down, heh, heh," Dake said.

"We know that they know we have a complex offense. And they know that we know that they know it too. So we wait till they line up before we call our play," Dake said. "That way, we can run right into the strength of their set-up and scare the living daylights out of them."

Dake explained his confusion over starting quarterback: "This kid E.J. Dionne can run, pass, punt, option, and everything. But he doesn't have the safety down pat."
