The Committee on Students and Community Relations (CSCR) failed to reach a final decision during a heated meeting last night on a resolution upholding "the free expression of opinion" by any guest or member of the University.
Bruce E. Johnson '72, the Eliot House representative to the Committee, said last night that the CSCR could not arrive at any consensus and had to postpone consideration of the resolution pending further investigation.
He added that, "We did agree, however, that whatever decision that we finally make should in no way be used as regulation in disciplinary cases of free speech violations. This committee has no power to make such of resolution."
