Starting the first game of his Ivy career, Dartmouth's Steve Stetson completed only eight of 15 passes for 77 yards and ran nine times for 21 yards. But the junior quarterback spearheaded four scoring drives that led the Big Green over Cornell, 24-14.
For his performance, Stetson was named Ivy League Back of the Week by the league's officials.
In the first quarter, he completed three of four passes and ran for nine yards to set up a field goal the first time Dartmouth had the ball. Later in the quarter, Stetson ran the final nine yards of the game's first touchdown drive.
Before the half, Stetson drove the Big Green 73 yards in 10 plays for a 17-0 lead, and he put the game on ice with an eight yard scoring pass after the half.
