Yardlings Host Bruin Gridders

The freshman football team will try to stretch its win streak to two when it hosts Brown at 2 p.m. today at Soldier's Field.

This will be the final game of the season for the Brown freshmen, who go into today's game with a 1-3 record. Brown lost last week to U.R.I., 23-7.

If the Yardlings can beat Brown, the win will boost their season record to 4-1. Next week, the freshmen will finish up their season against undefeated Yale.

"We did well last week, so we plan to use the same strategy this week against Brown," freshman coach Henry Lamar said yesterday. Last week, the Crimson defeated Princeton, 27-19.

Harvard scored two quick touchdowns in the first quarter on passes to split-end. Pat McInally. One of the passes was a long bomb from Angelo Seguiti which was good for 52 yards.

Princeton came back in the second quarter, scoring twice on two runs by Jud Wagenseller, who racked up 171 yards by the end of the game. At the half, Harvard led by a single point.

The Harvard defense made the difference in the fourth quarter, frustrating a drive by the Tigers on a crucial fourth and goal. After Harvard's great defensive effort. Milt Holt led the Yardlings on a 90 yard drive, scoring on a pass to McInally.

Princeton attempted a late quarter rally but the Crimson defense managed to contain the effort, insuring Harvard's victory.
