Strings Attached: How Harvard’s Wealthiest Alumni Are Reshaping University Giving
The Harvard soccer team hosts a star studded Alumni team at the Business School Field today at 10:30 a.m.
Last year the Alumni were over-powered by the Junior Varsity, 5-0, but this year's strong 27-man squad will be bolstered by two high-scorers from last year's varsity, Peter Bogovitch and Solomon Gomez.
In addition to Gomez, the Alumni will have five former captains on the field, Lenny Keys, an All-American in 1959, will be playing fullback, Richie Locksley, captain of the 1969 team which went to St. Louis, will be sharing goal-tending duties with three other former greats, including Richie Hammond, captain in 1966.
Other captains are Teddy Wendell (1962) and Joe Gould (1965), "Some of these guys are in good shape, and it should be a good game," freshman coach Dana Getchell said, "but mostly they come back to see if things are still the same around here."
Dr. Warde Slingerland '41, will be the oldest participant in the game.
