U. S. Bombing Attacks Continue in Indochina

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The war in Indochina was carried on mainly in the air Sunday, as 30 U. S. B-52's dropped 900 tons of bombs on supply trails in Laos and Cambodia. The B-52's were supported by approximately 300 fighter-bombers. The U. S. command did not immediately assess the damage. All planes returned safely.

One F-4 Phantom on a support mission was shot down Saturday over the Plain of Jars in Laos. The two crewmen were rescued, the command reported.

Booby Trap

Ground action was light in South Vietnam. Two infantrymen were killed in a firefight east of Saigon, and seven Marines were wounded by a booby trap south of Da Nang.
