Six Harvard University students will stand trial in East Cambridge District Court next month on charges stemming from last week's Harvard Square riot.
Three of the six are Law School students-Ray L. Fuller, Stephen J. Hausman, and Joseph R. Rackman. Two are undergraduates-Douglas W. Fuller '70 and David C. Plouke '71-and one is a special student-Louis W. Ladd.
Charges against the students include disturbing the peace, unlawful assembly, and rude and disorderly conduct. The trials will be held on May 13 and 19.
Police arrested a total of 32 people during the riot. Other charges included assault and battery on a police officer and illegal use of Mace.
Members of the Massachusetts Lawyers' Guild bailed out those arrested that night with a total of $32,000. All 32 pleaded not guilty at their arraignment the next day.
Over 200 people-including 40 policemen-were treated at hospitals for injuries suffered during the riot.
