The world title matches between the United States and Australia begin tonight at Harvard's Palmer Dixon Courts.
The Australian entrants. John Newcombe and Fred Stolle. will be playing Stan Smith and Arthur Ashe in tonight's two single matches. Two matches Tuesday night and three Wednesday night will complete the best-of-seven series.
The proceeds from the tournament will go to the Sportsman's Tennis Club. which is erecting eight outdoor and four indoor tennis courts in Roxbury. The total cost of the construction will be about $300,000.
Tickets are available at the Coop and at Harvard's ticket office. 60 Boylston Street for $10 a night.
