David Hynes's four goals paced the freshman hockey team to a 6-1 exhibition win over Batter Skolan of. Skelleftea. Sweden, yesterday at Watson Rink.

The Balder Skolan team, composed of boys 16 to 22 years old, has reached the semi-finals in a competition of 200 Swedish schools.

Touring New England, the Swedes have compiled a 5-2-1 record against prep school, college freshman, and semi-pro hockey teams.

The Yardlings played tough de?? hockey, clearing the zone well, and ?? Joe Bertagna succeeded in thwarting?? strong Nordic pressure and stuffing several breakaways.

At 1:46, Hynes opened the game with a goal on a pass from Bob Muse, and six minutes later he slipped in a pass from Bob McManama. Two goals by Bill Corkery, one on a power play and one on a pass from Jim Riley, completed the scoring for the first period.

After a scoreless second period. Balder Skolan surprised the Crimson with a goal at 2:35, but a minute later Hynes scored unassisted when a Swedish defenseman put the puck on his stick in front of the net. He scored again on a breakaway to give the Crimson a substantial 6-1 victory.
