Comings To Be Medical Architect

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Medical School announced Sunday the creation of the office of assistant to the Dean for Architecture in the Faculty of Medicine, and the appointment of Henry E. Comings Jr. '54 to fill it.

The new post, Comings said Monday, was founded to handle "a significantly larger number of renovation projects than usual." In particular, Comings will plan the remodeling of research facilities and the updating of Medical School buildings, some of which have not been significantly renovated for over 60 years.

Comings will also serve as administrative assistant in the Medical School's Area Planning Office, which has recently agreed to plan jointly with the Affiliated Hospitals Center and other neighboring medical institutions for architectural development of the surrounding area.
