Bill Vecck, the owner of Suffolk Downs Race Track, spoke mostly about baseball last night in the Kirkland JCR, but in response to a question at the end of his talk, he said that he was "surprised and ashamed" that Harvard last fall denied football coach John Yovicsin the right to work part-time at Suffolk Downs.

Harvard had given Yovicsin an okay to seek employment during the off-season, but Yovicsin did not ask specific approval for the race track position, which involved promotional work.
