Harvard Still On Track To Reach Fossil Fuel-Neutral Status by 2026, Sustainability Report Finds
Chosen the most improved lineman of the year, senior offensive tackle Eric Honick has been awarded the first annual Tubby Clark Award. The award was donated by a close friend of the former Harvard guard in an attempt to recognize the unsung hero of each year's squad.
Clark was a 5' 8", 250 pound lineman on the Crimson's 1919 team, who missed the Rose Bowl because of an injury.
Honick gained experience the past two seasons with the varsity "B" team and this year moved in to takeover a starting berth. "Eric is very dedicated and mechanically, does quite well," coach John Yovicsin said. These two traits helped the 6 ft. 1 inch, 205 pounder make the transition to the varsity with a minimum of problems.
In the Princeton game Honick was outstanding. "It was a great season, of course everyone will say that, but it's the first winning football team I've ever started on and that makes it more rewarding for me," he said. Honick is a government major from New Kensington, Pa., and is planning a law career.
