Fencer Tony Kestler Has Left Columbia

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Tony Kestler, captain-elect of the Columbia fencing team and two-time All-American, has left Columbia to enroll at Wayne State under a professional option in dentistry.

Kestler won the NCAA individual foil championship two years ago and finished third last year.

Last May doctors found bone chips in Kestler's ankle and operated in July. When the doctors told him that he would have to wait eight months before he could resume fencing, Kestler decided to pass up his final year at Columbia in favor of the professional option.
