HERE WE HAVE a fine example of a story written by two people who had just smoked mind-altering drugs. Think of it what you will. But if you want to "get something out of it," notice the way each idea in the story is attached only to its own moment. Images and events more than two sentences apart in this story bear no relation to each other. The mind-altered writer exists in the instant of his awareness. As you read the story, you will probably not be able to remember anything you've read longer ago than the previous sentence (don't try to); you, too, will have an understanding that is limited to the moment.
