Henry Colt Appointed To Fund-Raising Job

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Henry F. Colt Jr. '47 will become one of Harvard's chief fund-raisers on July 1.

Colt's new position, assistant to the President for Development, involves raising funds for immediate use by the University as well as building the endowment. Major sources of such funds--the people from whom Colt will be trying to get donations--include alumni, foundations, and corporations.

Colt is presently executive director of the Harvard College Fund, which raises funds from alumni for general use by the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.

Colt will be replacing James R. Reynolds '23, who has been involved in Harvard fund-raising for the last 20 years.
