Gov. Dummer Laxmen Lose to Yardlings

The Yardlings came through with a strong second half yesterday to overpower Governor Dummer Academy, 10-3, yesterday in Byfield.

It was victory number five for the perennially successful freshman lacrosse team, coached by H. M. Fish. All of the triumphs have been by substantial margins, with the lone loss coming in the game against Brown.

The Crimson led by only 3-2 after the first half yesterday, but outscored the Governors, 5-0, in the third period to put the game out of reach.

Three Harvard players tallied two goals apiece. Bob Green and Nick Sullivan each netted two, while Verdi DiSesa, a midfielder, also assisted on one score while collecting his two goals. Goalie Randy Smith stopped 14 of the 16 shots thrown at him by the opposition. The Governors had a tendency to do a good deal of passing, but not much shooting.

K. B. Warren picked up three assists against Governor Dummer, always one of the best prep school teams in New England.

The Yardling's next game is Saturday against New Hampshire in Durham.
