Overseers Committee Appoints Investigator

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Board of Overseers committee studying the seizure of University Hall and the immediately surrounding events has appointed a representative to gather information on the events from Harvard students and faculty.

Reed Ellis '65, an executive assistant for the Ford foundation, began work yesterday as secretary to the committee. Along with William Young '62, secretary of the Overseers' long-range study group, Ellis will hold office hours daily in Wadsworth House. Appointments may be made by telephoning University extension 4739 or 4740.

Ellis said yesterday that his report will be only a factual account of what happened during the week of April 7-14. Ellis plans to present a preliminary version to the Overseers at their May 11 meeting. The report will not be made public unless the Overseers decide to do so, he said, adding that all interviews will be kept confidential.
