Harvard's snow-shovelers, porters, lab-technicians, and food-servers are in store for some joyful recognition if Barbara Brandt has her way.
Miss Brandt, secretary to Charles Abrams, Williams Professor in City and Regional Planning, is planning a Harvard Employees Appreciation Festival for later this Spring. She said it might include an exhibit of exployees' art, a party for students and employees with music by anyone who wants to play, and "anything else joyous, friendly, fraternal, gratifying or otherwise relevant that anyone would like to do."
"When we had that big snowstorm I noticed all the men shoveling show and chopping ice and thought it would be nice to acknowledge those people and all the others who work here," Miss Brandt said.
