Harvard will have an opportunity to demonstrate its superiority among Eastern hockey powers in the ECAC Tournament, which begins March 4 at a not yet determined site. The semifinals and finals are March 7 and 8 at Boston Garden. The seedings were announced yesterday, with the eighth spot still undecided.

They are: 1. Cornell, 2. Harvard, 3. Boston College, 4. Boston University, 5. Clarkson, 6. R.P.I., 7. University of New Hampshire, 8 Brown or St Lawrence.

The Crimson has beaten all but three of these teams. Harvard lost to Cornell, 8-4; to B.C., 6-5; and tied St. Lawrence, 4-4.
