DOJ Sues Boston and Mayor Michelle Wu ’07 Over Sanctuary City Policy
About 100 people met at Boston University last night and approved a sit-in probably at the President's office on Monday-to support twelve demands concerning the G.E. strike, police action stemming from a sit-in on November 25. and an allegedly racist conference on "Big Business in the Ghetto."
Before voting, they heard Gene Jones, a Boston Black Panther leader, urge support for a Panther demonstration this Saturday at the JFK building protesting the killings of two Panther leaders Wednesday night in Chicago.
The final vote approved a motion combining action for the demands with promotion of the Pantrer rally. The motion carried by a margin of about two to one.
