Anti-War Groups Attack President

At a press conference at the Harvard Faculty Club yesterday, members of several Boston peace groups criticized President Nixon's Vietnam speech as a sign of Nixon's failure to provide real change in Vietnam policy.

"The President has failed to respond to the real silent majority of our population, who suffer most from the war," Richard Wilson, co-chairman of the Boston New Mobilization, said, "The President's plan is not even a poor substitute for change, but a mere continuance of the policies of the past," he added.

Everett Mondelsohn, professor of History and Science and member of the New Moratorium, said, "Mr. President, we will not be coerced into silence."

The speakers also outlined their groups' proposed anti-war activities for November 13-15. The New Mobilization is sponsoring the March Against Death in Washington, while the New Moratorium will organize local Boston demonstrations.
