A bomb scare emptied Holyoke Center briefly early yesterday.
The Cambridge Police Department received an anonymous phone call at 7:30 a. m. warning that a bomb was hidden somewhere in the building. University officials were notified and the building was evacuated under the direction of the University police.
A half-hour search failed to uncover any hidden explosives.
Employees were permitted to re-enter the building after it was pronounced safe by the bomb-detection squad of the Cambridge Fire Department.
