The Mail WORKERS RESPOND

By Moyra CLARKE Secretary

To the Editors of the CRIMSON:

In regard to the letter from Beth Harvey which appeared in the Sept, 27 CRIMSON I would like to comment on just one point. Before making the condescending suggestion in her letter that the secretaries at the Center for International Affairs are underpaid and have "bad working conditions" I feel that she should have asked the individuals concerned for their views. For my own part I Ifeel that I have very agreeable working conditions and my salary compares reasonably with that obtainable elsewhere for the same kind of work.

If there is any subject, or subjects, on which Miss Harvey feels that she has expert knowledge it might be better for her to stick to pronouncements on such matters rather than making patronizing generalizations which apparently are based on somewhat inadequate information.
