Varsity Soccer Team Risks Winning Streak Against Alumni Squad

Harvard's varsity soccer team, recuperating from its win yesterday over Dartmouth, will retake the field at 10:30 a.m. today to face the Harvard alumni in a traditional match.

Assistant soccer coach Seamus Malin has contacted 26 former players for today's game. In six years the alumni have won only two matches, but one of those victories was an embarrassing 4-1 upset last year.

Malin thinks the alumni might be in a psychological predicament. "I know I'd feel guilty breaking the varsity's winning streak," he said.

But Keith Chiappa 65 seemed undisturbed. "That defense has never been tested; we'll tear them apart with ease," Chiappa said with a sneer. "So what if they played a game yesterday? Aren't they in shape?"
