8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
Harvard brought charges of criminal trespass Thursday against John Berg, who was separated from the University for two years for his part in the seizure of University Hall last April.
Berg was subpoenaed for "trespass on premises in Cambridge," A condition of his separation was that he not appear on Harvard grounds.
In a letter sent to Berg by the Committee of Fifteen last month, he was warned that he would be prosecuted if seen at Harvard.
Berg is to appear in the Cambridge Third District Court next Thursday. The maximum penalty for criminal trespass is 30 days in prison or a $100 fine.
Berg said that he has been "working actively" for Progressive Labor at Harvard since his separation.
