Robert Kennedy Service Planned For Noon Today

A memorial service will be held at noon today to honor the late Senator Robert F. Kennedy '48, who died last Thursday.

Speaking at Memorial Church will be four Harvard professors; who have been personal friends and long-time associates of Kennedy.

They are: Don K. Price Jr., dean of the John F. Kennedy School of Government; Richard E. Neustadt, director of the Institute of Politics of the John F. Kennedy School of Government and a former aide to President Kennedy; John Kenneth Galbraith, Paul M. Warburg Professor of Economics and Ambassador to India under President Kennedy; and Adam Yarmolinsky '43, professor of Law and a former assistant to Secretary of Defense Robert S. McNamara.

Peter A. Gagliardi '68, who was active in the Students-for-Kennedy group in the late Senator's campaign, will also speak.

The Rev. Charles P. Price, Preacher to the University, will officiate, and the Commencement Choir, directed by Elliot Forbes, will sing at the ceremonies.

The service will be piped into Sanders Theatre if Memorial Church is filled, as it is expected to be.

WHRB Radio will broadcast the memorial services live beginning at noon today at 550 kc AM, 95.3 mc FM.

Class of 1948

The Class of 1948 Committee, which has scheduled Twentieth Reunion events starting June 12, announced yesterday that its planned program will be carried out despite the death of Senator Kennedy, a member of the Class of 1948.

In a press release, the Class Committee said that it is considering plans for a memorial for the Senator. A representative of the class was scheduled to attend the funeral in New York.
