Despite Tony Parker's winning performance in the "A" division, Harvard's sailing team was edged by Yale, 76-73, for the Mosbacher Trophy in the Ivy League Championships held at Cornell last weekend.
Parker and his crew, Steve Bloomstein, compiled 42 points to Yale's 39, but in the "B" division the Elis outpointed Harvard skipper Parker Jayne, 37-31, for the margin of victory.
In Parker's seven races, he sailed to two firsts, two seconds, a third, a fourth, and a seventh. His point total was the second highest in the regatta. Only Brown's "B" division skipper did better, dominating the regatta with 48 points.
In other weekend action, Harvard tied for third behind two strong Coast Guard entries in the Raven Regatta at the Coast Guard Academy.
At the University of Rhode Island, Crimson skippers sailed off with top honors in the Three-team Crew Race.
