A group of eight Harvard wrestlers will compete in the New England Regionals of the Olympic trials in Lowell Saturday.
The group has worked out under Olympic rules for two months in preparation for the trials, according to Rick Sullivan, one of the entrants.
Sullivan said the group will have an advantage over many of the other entrants because of the time they have wrestled under the Olympic rules. "Several of us have a very good chance of qualifying for the finals," he said.
Wrestlers who place first or second in their weight class in the regionals will go to the finals at Ames, Iowa on May 9-11.
Among those entered from Harvard are Tom Tripp '71, freshman captain and Howard Chatterton '69, next year's varsity captain.
