Saltonstall Will Chair Whitehead Fellowship

William G. Saltonstall, Chairman of the Massachusetts Board of Education, has been appointed Curator of the Alfred North Whitehead Fellowship Program and Lecturer on Education at Harvard.

Saltonstall has been chairman of the new Massachusetts Board of Education since its establishment in 1966.

Nine men in the field of education and related fields have received Whitehead Fellowships for the academic year 1968-69.

The recipients, including five administrators, three professors and a high school teacher, will spend the year using University resources to carry out independent research studies.
