Orchestra Premieres Concerto by Kirchner

Pulitzer Prize-winner Leon Kirchner, Walter Bigelow Rosen Professor of Music, will conduct the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra in the Boston area premiere of his Second Piano Concerto tonight.

The concert celebrates the 160th anniversary of the Pierian Sodality of 1808, the HRO's ancestor.

Miss Luis Vosgerchian will be the featured soloist. The program also includes Brahm's Symphony Number 4 and Mozart's Symphony Number 40.

The concert will begin at 8:30 p.m. in Sanders Theater.
