Easy-mannered Bob Kanuth will captain the Crimson basketball team through next year's campaign.
Kanuth, a 6-4 junior last week was elected the team's most valuable players.
Never a spectacular player, Kanuth has been consistently reliable all season. His 228 points for a 10.9 average and 152 rebounds make him the team's second high scorer and rebounder.
According to Coach Floyd Wilson, Kanuth's work on the court usually goes unnoticed. But "we would have had little success at all this season without him," Wilson said.
Kanuth played his best game of the season last December against M.I.T. when he scored 21 points and collected 16 rebounds.
Kanuth came to Harvard as a high school All-American honorable mention, and has been a starter on the team for both his varsity seasons.
