The Radcliffe swimming team splashed to a 43-43 the with arch-rival Wellesley College to share first-place at Wellesley's invitational meet Tuesday after noon.
The Cliffies captured first place honors in four of the five individual events, but Wellesley victories in both relays gave the host squad enough points to tie. Bradford Junior College. Brandels, and jackson were the other competing teams.
Janet Wright '70 of Radcliffe was the meet's only double-winner. She picked up victories in 59-yard freestyle and the 100-yad freestyle and the 100-yard individual medley. Eleanor Thomas '69 and Julie Anderson '71 recorded the other two Radcliffe first. Miss Thomas took the backstroke title while miss Anderson won the 50-yard breaststroke.
Team captain Cathy McBain said yesterday that Radcliffe has challenged Wellesley to a return meet on March 5, with the hope of breaking the tie.
