President Pusey Agrees to Attend Next Meeting of Advisory Council

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

President Pusey said yesterday that he would appear at the next meeting of the Student-Faculty Advisory Council on February 20.

The Council had overwhelmingly voted at its last meeting to invite Pusey and the invitation had been extended by the five-man steering committee on Wednesday.

Pusey said that he would appear at either a closed or an open session. "It's their meeting," he said. "It's up to them whether they want it open or not." This means that the meeting will presumably be open to the public since the Council members decided on Tuesday that, with Pusey's consent, they would rather the meeting were not closed. The final decision on the matter will be made by the steering committee.

Due to previous commitments, Pusey said that he could only appear at the meeting from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Council has asked him to attend so that it may know the University's official stand on the acceptable forms of student protest among other things.
