'Cliffe Common Rooms To Be Open All Night

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Half of Radcliffe's 22 dormitories have adopted a new Radcliffe Union of Students regulation allowing men in dorm common rooms on an around-the-clock basis.

Under the old Radcliffe Government Association by-laws, open house hours were only from 7:30 a.m. to midnight, and men were not allowed to remain in the dorm if a girl was not on bells.

RUS has been going over the old by-laws, and at its last meeting changed the open house rule to unlimited hours. Dormitories can now set their own hours, but all the dorms that have considered new hours have decided on 24 hours of open house.

No one has to be on bells to enforce parietal rules as before, and men in the common rooms are expected to be with their dates.
