Struggling Pats Meet Denver This Weekend

The Boston Patroits will attempt to salvage their shattered spirit and reputation against a surging Denver Bronoco team Sunday afternoon in Fenway Park.

The two teams will be bringing identical 3-4 records to the contest. In their only other meeting this season, the Pats came out on top, 20-17. But since then, the Boston club's record has been mostly downhill, while the Broncos have been making up for lost time.

Patroit coach Mike Holovak has decided to alternate his regular quarterback Mike Taliaferro with rookie signal-giver Tom Sherman. Taliaferro's five intercepted passes and two fumbles in last Sunday's disastrous 48-14 loss to the New York Jets made many observers think that Holovak would start Sherman this Sunday.

The Broncos, on the other hand, edged out Miami 21-14 last Sunday, have won three of their last four games, and should be bolstered by the presence of split end Al Denson, who has recovered from an injury received in the Bronco's first game this fall. Denson, a vital Bronco pass receiver last year, shared the league lead in touchdown pass catches, with 11 receptions.
