Garber Privately Tells Faculty That Harvard Must Rethink Messaging After GOP Victory
Harvard's J.V. booters battle for their second victory of the year against Brown, and their seventh straight win of the season, in Providence today.
The game should be tighter than the 3-1 Crimson victory Oct. 30, when the Bruins brought only 13 players to Harvard because of a Brown varsity game the same day.
A similar problem will hamper the Harvard squad today. Final practice for Saturday's varsity match against the Bruins will prevent some regular J.V. members who are subbing for injured varsity players from making the trip to Providence.
Varsity captain Scott Robertson will probably be unable to play against Brown Saturday because of a foot injury, so John Runyon, a J.V. regular, will probably take his place. Ron McClain, starting J.V. fullback, subbed for injured Bobby Gray in the varsity game at Princeton Saturday after playing the entire J.V. game the day before.
