The Harvard rugby team rolled to an 8-3 victory over Holy Cross Saturday on the strength of two touchdowns by Sione Tuponiua.
Tuponiua, the team's captain, struck first after a good team effort by several forwards to set up the touchdown. In rugby, a team gets three points for each touchdown and two points for the conversion.
In the second half. Tuponiua caught Holy Cross off guard after a penalty call and carried the ball in from 15 yards out without waiting for everyone to get in position. There is no time out in rugby after a penalty call.
This ended Harvard's scoring at 8, two touchdowns and one successful conversion attempt. Holy Cross managed only one touchdown and failed to make the conversion attempt.
