To the Editors of the Harvard CRIMSON:
I would like to propose a modification to the General Education program set forth in the October 9 CRIMSON. Under the current program, concentrators in the natural sciences are not required to take any General Education courses in that area. However, such persons often have little acquaintance with sciences outside their own field. I feel that besides some acquaintance with the other areas of knowledge, a science or engineering student should gain a broader knowledge of science in general, and the ability to relate different disciplines...
And furthermore: Surely no Harvard man would use English as ungraceful as the expression, "chaired by a prestigous member," in section III of the article! This sort of misuse of words is all too common nowadays! Roger A. C. Williams
