To the Editors of the CRIMSON:
As a witness to the agreement entered into by the Radcliffe administration and the hunger strikers, I would like to correct one of the false statements in the CRIMSON of May 16.
The agreement was that a committee composed of faculty, students, alumni, and administration would be set up to study the issues and make their recommendations to the Radcliffe Council.
The Committee would be requested to make their recommendations public by Friday, June 2.
At the meeting it was made very clear that the Committee's purpose was not to arbitrate or decide the issue but to make recommendations to the Radcliffe Council which, as Radcliffe's legal counsel advised, must have the final authority. Helen H. Gilbert Chairman Radcliffe Board of Trustees
