The Dunster House squash team, after sweeping through its intramural season undefeated, won the Harvard-Yale championship, 3-2, last weekend over Silliman College.
Hoyt Taylor, Bobby Gass, and Ed Kaier all won their matches, Taylor by a 3-2 score and the other two 3-1. David Landes and Gerry Sarnat both lost 2-3 to their Yale opponents, though Landes almost pulled out a win against the number one player on Yale's freshman team.
Dunster's 13-0 record in the intramurals dethroned three time champion Lowell. Dunster won its game with Lowell, 4-1, but each match was close. Most of its other victories were by 5-0 scores.
The B League title also ment to Dunster this year. The Funsters finished with a 9-1 record (their first loss in three and a half years), one game ahead of Lowell.
Dunster will need the B team graduates next year to defend its title -- five of its top seven players are seniors, and only Gass and Landes will be returning.
