The wrestling team swings back into action after a long exam-period layoff and faces a wild weekend with two away meets.
The grapplers meet Rutgers at New Brunswick, N.J. tonight, and then faces a fairly weak Columbia outfit the following afternoon.
Coach Bob Pickett doesn't know what to expect from Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights drubbed the Crimson in Cambridge last year, 28-6, but Pickett feels they won't be quite as strong this time around.
Columbia should not be as much of a problem. Princeton has beaten the Light Blue, 33-0, and Yale took it, 28-15. Harvard beat Columbia, 24-13, last year and is likely to win again Saturday.
For the weekend series, Pickett will continue to juggle the lineup. His tentative plans are for Dave Stern at 145 tonight, with a healthy Howie Chatterton back at 160 and Chris Wickens at 167. For Columbia on Saturday, Andy Kopecki will start at 123, kicking up Howie Henjyoji, Danny Naylor, and Carl Baum to 130, 137, and 145 respectively. Jeff Grant will start at 160 with Chatterton up to 167. Ed Franquemont (152), Paul Padlak (177), Howie Freedman (191), and Bob Panoff (hvy.) will keep the same slots both days.
